Rockpool Boulder (small) 'echoes and traces'

With the feel of a tumbled stone, the earthy toned, rough-etched, stony surface contrasts with the deep shiny blue cobalt glaze in the 'rockpool'. A handbuilt, stoneware ceramic sculpture, textured with landscape and geologically inspired imagery. This small boulder also includes some ammonite impressions taken from collected fossils. This 'boulder' features a line from a 'haiku' running round the form - this is impressed into the clay by hand using metal letterpress. This reads:

Each boulder is unique and signed with my maker's mark (MH) on the base. They make a great feature on a low coffee table or hearth. Boulders are frost-resistant and also look good nestled amongst plants or different sizes grouped on a patio outside.
This smallest size boulder fits comfortably in your hands and measures approximately 12cm diameter by 7.5cm high.
